Kenny Blackwell on mandolin, originally from the great state of Michigan, is the most recent member of the Rhythm Brothers. He studied Jazz with his musical idol, the great Jethro Burns, of Homer and Jethro fame. Kenny is one of the most versatile musicians on the West coast, in demand both in recording studios as well as in live performance. Moving to CA in 1978, Kenny quickly became a sought after artist, soon to be working with such luminaries as Linda Ronstadt, Neil Diamond, and Johnny Rivers. Kenny has performed all over the world, from the Tonight Show, to the Grand Ol' Opry to Tokyo Disneyland, and his playing can be heard on the film soundtracks for feature movies and television shows such as Maverick, Spitfire Grill, Malcom in the Middle, and News Radio. Along with being a great mandolin and guitar player, Kenny Blackwell composes instrumental music in styles ranging from Celtic and Bluegrass, to Blues, Jazz and beyond.
